A lot of natural symbols are used in Hemingway’s masterpiece A Farewell to Arms,such as rain,water,seasons,etc.This can avoid the description of the acute feeling of the characters,and thus give the readers the freedom to delve into the deepest part of the character’s emotion.The use of natural symbolism contributes a lot to his"iceberg principle".
