Cohesion refers to the relations of meaning that exist within the text,and also defines it as a text.According to Holliday,discoursal/textual cohesiveness can be realized by employing various cohesive devices:conjunction,ellipsis,lexical collocation,lexical repetition,reference,substitution,etc.This paper attempts to analyze the differences between Autumn in Peiping and its English version from grammatical and lexical aspects.
