语域理论视角下《小公主》两个译本的对比分析

A Contrastive Analysis on Two Versions of A Little Princess from the Perspective of Register Theory

语言学理论与翻译相结合,为翻译研究提供了崭新的视角。该文以功能语言学的语域理论为视点,从语域三要素——语场、语旨和语式出发,对美国作家伯内特的名作《小公主》的两个译本进行比较分析,探讨了语域理论在翻译中的应用,指出译文与原文应实现语域对等。

The application of linguistics theory into translation provides a new perspective for translation study. Based on the viewpoint of register theory of functional linguistics, this thesis conducts a comparative study on the two Chinese versions of"A Little Princess"from the three register variables-field, tenor and mode. This paper tests the feasibility of register theory in transla-tion and points out that target text should achieve register equivalence with the source text.
