文化负载词翻译浅析——以刘重德《爱玛》译本为例

A Brief Analysis of the Translation of Culture-loaded Words as Exemplified by Liu Zhongde's Version of Emma

文化负载词一直是翻译研究中的难点所在,它是特定民族在漫长的历史进程中逐渐积累的,是某种文化中特有事物的词、词组和习语。在翻译文化负载词时,由于中西传统文化的显著差异,译者很难找到完全对等的表达。该文分析了刘重德的译作《爱玛》针对文化负载词是如何运用翻译策略,以成功再现原作精髓,促进文化交流。

Culture-loaded words refer to the words, expressions or idioms that carry the meaning of specific national culture to a certain socio-cultural community. And translation of culture-loaded words has always been a difficult part of translation studies. Through an analysis of the translation of the culture-loaded words in Liu Zhongde ’s version of Emma, this paper will try to ex-plore how those translation approaches are applied when the culture-loaded words are translated so as to reproduce the idea of the original and promote the cultural communication between the east and the west.
