My Humble Opinions on Chinese Translation Aesthetics

"翻译美学"以"翻译"为"体","美学"为"用",将审美理论与翻译实践相结合,其目的是建成翻译学的一门分支。该文拟对中国翻译美学的起始界定,学科定位和理论应用三个问题进行系统分析研究,提出了翻译美学运用的层级问题,将翻译提高到审美的高度,以美学方法和标准对翻译进行系统阐释,拓宽了翻译学研究的新视野。

Combining aesthetic theory and translation practice,“Translation Aesthetics”retains“translation”as“substance”and adopts“aesthetics”for“use”so as to build a branch of translation. This paper intends to carry out a systematic analysis and study on three questions of Chinese Translation Aesthetics, including identifying the initial of Chinese Translation Aesthetics, its disci-plinary orientation and application;puts forward the problem of application hierarchy of translation aesthetics, enhancing transla-tion to the height of aesthetics. Interpreting translation systematically by means of aesthetic methods and aesthetic standards broad-ens the new vision of translation studies.
