An Implicative Study of Application of Comparative Studies of English and Chinese into College English Vocabulary Teaching

英汉对比研究是语言研究的基本方法,语言迁移是外语学习过程中常见的现象之一。该文主要通过英汉词汇对比分析,论述两种语系之间的异同,进而促进学生母语的正迁移,克服负迁移对语言学习的影响。并结合当前大学英语词汇教学实际,提出一些改进词汇教学的一些策略和方法。

Comparative studies of English and Chinese is the basic method of language study, and language transfer is one of the common phenomena in the process of foreign language learning. This paper, through analyzing the comparison between English and Chinese vocabulary, discusses the similarities and differences between the two languages, so as to promote students ’positive transfer of mother tongue and to overcome the negative transfer of language learning. Combined with the current university Eng-lish vocabulary teaching practice, the paper puts forward some improving vocabulary teaching strategies and methods.
