英语词汇跟任何现代语言的词汇一样,一直在不断地演变发展。近年来,魔幻题材影视及文学作品广为流行,受到了很多观众的追捧。这类作品中经常出现作者自创的新词而这些新词为作品的翻译带来了困难。因此,该文简要介绍魔幻影视及文学作品中英语新词的产生途径,如:构词法、旧词新义、外来词借入和杜撰新词,并从音译法、直译法、意译法三个方面探讨其翻译策略,旨在为新词的翻译提供参考。

The English vocabulary, like that of any modern language, keeps changing and development constantly. In recent years, fantasy movies and novels become more and more popular and win a lot of fans to themselves. This type of works usually has a lot of words created by the writer. This phenomenon is called neologism which brings difficulties to the translation of neolo-gies. This article focuses on the introduction to methods of creation of neologies which includes word formation, new meaning of old words, borrowing foreign words and making up new words, and also gives a discussion on the translation strategies, such as transliteration, literal translation and liberal translation, hoping to provide some references for the translation of English neologies.
