文本类型理论下的企业简介翻译研究——以中国东盟博览会参展广西企业为例 被引量:3

摘要 企业简介是企业对其概况、产品和企业文化等进行介绍,以期树立企业形象、扩大市场、增加销售的自我宣传文本。它的翻译目的是提升企业海外形象和知名度,开拓国外市场,扩大销售。该文对2012年9月参展中国-东盟博览会的20家广西企业的英文简介进行研究后发现,很多企业英译简介存在逐字逐句翻译的现象,没有对简介内容进行文本类型分析,进而采取不同翻译策略。而且,译文中还存在语法错误、选词不当、句式不当等问题,无法达到企业简介的对外宣传的目的。该文运用文本类型理论,一方面对这些企业简介译文进行评估,另一方面通过对原文文本类型分析,提出相应翻译和修改策略。 Company profiles are reports that provide an overview of the history, current status, and future goals of a business with the purpose to build up corporate images, expand markets and boost sales. It is found that the 20 company profiles studied collect-ed from China-ASEAN Exposition 2012 fail to achieve this goal as there are many translation errors in the translated versions and they are sometimes just literal translations. The Theory of Text Typology is applied in the study as an evaluation tool as well as a guiding tool for the translation of company profiles and proper revisions for the mistranslations have been proposed.
