摘要
主要从三个方面论述在对外旅游翻译中常见英汉习语的文化差异、产生原因及应对策略。众所周知,习语是一种承载着大量文化信息的重要语言现象,它可以反映一个民族的地理环境、价值取向、思维模式等。通过分析习语的文化差异成因并探讨翻译策略,可以更好地理解、掌握并运用习语,在对外翻译中对原文含义进行有针对性的取舍,最大程度体现原文特色,规避常见错误,从而达到宣扬中华传统文化、促进中西文化领域交流的目的。
This thesis mainly focuses on the English&Chinese idioms and their cultural differences regarding external-propagan-da translation. As is known to all, idiom is an important linguistic phenomenon which carries a large amount of cultural informa-tion such as geography, value dimension religion, thought pattern and so on. By analyzing cultural differences of idioms, people can understand them better that in turn will help publicize traditional Chinese culture.
