摘要
Advertisement has aroused great interest of linguists,psychologists,sociologists,economists and even aesthetes.Advertising English has its unique features in various linguistic branches.It is a challenge to understand advertising English for people,especially non-native English speakers.This essay is intended to provide a systematic analysis of advertising English on the applied linguistics.This is followed by an analysis on the features and translation strategies of advertising English.However,the main thrust of this essay is not devoted to a purely linguistic study,but built on the theoretical reflections of equivalent theory and cultural conversion about translation strategies.This essay attempts to find the joint reflecting the similar functions of both English and Chinese.
