Serious problems exist in the translation of Chinese movie titles, which prevent Chinese movies from going out. From the perspective of the theory of Translation as Adaptation and Selection, translation of movie titles should adapt to its translational eco-environment, and achieve the multi-dimensional adaptive transformation. Only those which have reached a high degree of holistic adaption and selection can be accepted by the public in the target language ,and can play a great role in the introduction and broadcasting of movies.
