认知视角下的英汉时间隐喻对比研究

A Cognitive Approach to Contrastive Study of Temporal Metaphors in Chinese and English

认知语言学家对隐喻的研究证实了隐喻对人类认知的广泛影响,以时间为目标域的隐喻更是在日常生活和文学作品中无处不在。根据始源概念域的不同,隐喻可分为方位性隐喻、结构性隐喻、本体性隐喻三类。对英语和汉语中的时间隐喻进行对比分析,可以从这三个角度出发,比较其始源概念域的异同。

Researches in metaphor that have done by cognitive linguists verified the extensive influence of metaphor on our per-ception towards the world. And temporal metaphors are also pervasive both in our daily life and in literary works. According to the difference of metaphors’source domain, they can be divided into three categories:Orientational Metaphors, Structural Meta-phors and Ontological Metaphors. A contrastive study of temporal metaphors in English and Chinese can be done from these three aspects, and the diversities and similarities in the source domain of temporal metaphors will be explored.
