This thesis deals with the theme of nostalgia in Willa Cather's My Antonia. This theme is conveyed from three aspects,namely the arrangement of the setting of this novel, the depiction of Jim Burden's haunting memory of his past life and the highlight of ántonia's symbol as a pioneering woman.
