Preliminary Research on the Development History of the Western Semiology

符号学到目前为止,没有形成完整的体系,还没有成为一门独立学科,在它的性质、范围和研究方法上各派意见大相径庭。该文试从西方符号学研究的发展入手,描述了从符号学的前历史时期到当代后结构主义研究的整个符号研究发展脉络。重点介绍了索绪尔、皮尔斯的符号学基础理论,以及西比奥克的符号学贡献和雅各布森对符号的研究。

By far, the semiology has not form a complete system and has yet to be a independent discipline. Different schools have the different views on its nature, scope and research methods. The paper tries to describe the whole development context from the pre-historic period to contemporary poststructuralism of the semiology. The paper highlights the semiology theories of Saussure and Peirce, as well as the contribution of Sebeok and Jacobson’s study on semiology.
