The Translation of Public Signs from the Perspective of Eco-linguistics

公示语翻译是衡量一个地方文化软实力高低的标志。以生态语言学理论为出发点,从语言对等、文化传递和交际意图三个方面分析公示语翻译中存在的问题,提出公示语翻译应遵循生态三维选择转换原则,以"整合选择适应度高"为标准,规范和统一公示语翻译,为建立良好的语言生态环境和和谐社会奠定基础。

The translation of public signs plays an important role in enhancing a city’s cultural soft power. An ecological ap-proach to translation study on the public signs are conducted from three dimensions of linguistics, communication and culture, with the basic principle of tri-dimensional selection and adaptation to standardize the translation of public signs, which will lay the foundation in building good language eco-environment and harmonious society.
