摘要
Blog, a new genre of internet communication, has its own unique syntactic features. With Halliday's stylistic analytical pattern, the writer analyzed the samples from the perspectives of linguistic description to reveal the sentence patterns used in the journal blogs. The results show that blog language displays many of the properties of both spoken and written language.
