批判思维的培养是英语专业学生的重要目标。该文从选择适合的教材和材料,营造民主融洽的课堂气氛,多鼓励学生发表自己的观点,传授中国传统文化,强调中西对比,在写作中培养批判思维这四个方面来组织教学,培养并提高民办院校英语专业学生的批判思维。

To foster students’critical thinking is the fundamental purpose for English majors and teachers. This paper analyzes or-ganizing classes from the perspectives of choosing appropriate textbooks and materials, creating a harmonious atmosphere and en-couraging students to show their ideas, imparting Chinese traditional culture and emphasizing the differences between Western and Chinese cultures and writing activities. The author is trying to foster and enhance English major’s critical thinking in private colleges.
