摘要
Charlotte Brontё and Emily Brontё were two important writers in the 19 thcentury. In their masterpieces Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, the two authors created two classic female images—Jane Eyre and Catherine Earnshaw. Though the Brontёsisters had similar life experience and living circumstances, the two images which are created by them still have many differences in their understanding and attitudes towards social status and love. This paper tries to analyze the differences of the two female images.
