Eco-pedagogy in College English Teaching from an Ecocritical Perspective

在严重的生态危机局势下,培养具有生态责任的大学生是当代高等教育的重要内容之一,而大学英语老师也肩负着生态教育的重要使命。论文以上外《大学英语》教材中的《为了人类自身拯救自然》文章为例,结合生态文学批评的相关理论,剖析该文折射的人类中心主义观点,探讨英语教学中培养学生正确生态意识的问题。

Given the serious ecological crisis, cultivating ecologically responsible college students has become a part of the modern higher education and college English teachers also have to live up to the important mission of eco-pedagogy. By analyzing““Sav-ing Nature, But Only for Man”in the textbook College English from an ecocritical perspective, this essay lashes out at the an-thropocentrism reflected in the text and spells out the importance of cultivating correct ecological consciousness in students in our English teaching process.
