摘要
Seminar是现今广泛流行于欧美日澳等发达国家高等学校和研究机构的一种基本教学科研方法,是学生围绕某一主题或问题与教师共同探讨的一种交互式教学路径。与传统的课堂教学模式相比,它有着互动性,激励性和学术性等特点,这种双向互动式的教学交流,可充分挖掘教师和学生的学理潜能。文章从实践,操作技巧和意义等方面着手,论述了seminar教学范式在英语专业精读课中应用的可行性和必要性,旨在为改善英语专业精读课教学质量提供新思路。
Seminar is a basic research method which is widely used in universities and research institutions in Europe, USA and other developed countries nowadays. It is also a kind of interactive teaching paradigm in which students will discuss some topics with their teachers. Compared with traditional teaching mode, it can encourage students to communicate with others better and develop their academic ability to a larger degree. This two-way interactive teaching method can fully exert teacher’s and stu-dent’s academic potential. And this paper introduces how to apply seminar paradigm in intensive reading course of English majors.
