摘要
长期以来,外宣翻译过于追求对原文的忠实而忽略了外国受众的特殊需求,导致外宣译本未能取得预期的传播效果。变译理论尊重外国受众的特殊需求,主张对原文在特定的条件下进行变通处理,以满足受众的阅读需求。将变译理论应用到外宣翻译实践中,能更好地提高译文翻译质量,取得更好的传播效果。
The translated texts for China's international communication have long not achieved their intended effects for being too'loyal'to the original and not catering to the special needs of the foreign audience. Translation Variation Theory gives much attention to the special needs of the foreign audience and argues for appropriate adaptation of the original text in the light of the foreign audience's needs under given circumstances. Under the guidance of Translation Variation Theory,translation for China's international communication will be improved in terms of both quality and communication effect.
