Amy Tan's well-known masterpiece The Joy Luck Club has been discussed by scholars and writers for a long time and the topics mainly focus on the relationship between mothers and daughters, the role of immigrants, Androcentrism and so forth.However,"The Other"of Orientalism is rarely talked about. So this paper probes "The Other" in several aspects.
