Although news reports value accuracy in their expressions, fuzzy expressions are still commonly employed in news re?ports, and fuzziness has become an impressive characteristic of news reports. Disaster events have been one of the major concerns for journalists, and English disaster news report articles are also important teaching materials in college English newspaper reading class. This paper will analyze the characteristic of fuzziness of English disaster news reports from the perspective of sources of infor?mation, numerical expressions and the use of details and photos, which will hopefully help the students to have a better under?standing of English news reports.
