The everyday life has become a heated topic again in the modern criticism in the 21 thcentury, because the resistance to the globalization is based on the everyday life experience of poverty, alienation and dependency,etc. This paper will analyze Kingsley Amis' Lucky Jim from the perspective of everyday spaces and consumer practices. In this novel, Kingsley exposes the resistant relationship between individuals and societies through describing Jim Dixon's living inside yet simultaneously resisting the hegemonic structure of the university where he is employed.
