Growing up in a coal-miner family, Lawrence hated industrialization and insisted that industrialization destroyed natural and human world. The destruction of industrialization on natural and human world is an important theme in many of Lawrence's works. This paper will analyze how Lawrence criticized the industrialization through the depiction of a coal-miner family in"Odor of Chrysanthemums".
