Text-type Analysis and Principles on Hulun Buir Tourism Translation

文本类型理论由德国功能主义学派的领军人物卡塔琳娜.赖斯(Katharina Reiss)在《翻译批评:潜力与制约》一书中提出,其目的是要建立一个全面客观的翻译批评与评估模式。本文在追溯文本类型理论产生根源及其理论框架的同时,结合呼伦贝尔旅游文本自身特点探讨了如何划分文本类型并展现其功能,并且根据不同的文本类型,制定相应的翻译原则。以期提高该地区旅游文本的翻译质量,更好地向国外游客宣传旅游景点,促进旅游经济的发展。

Text typology theory was proposed by Katharina Reiss who is the outstanding representative of German functionalism in the scholarly work“Translation Criticism:the Potential&Limitations”, the aim of which is to establish a comprehensive and objec?tive assessment model and translation criticism. This article traced the origin and theoretical framework of the text Typology theory, and discussed how to divide the text-type and demonstrate capabilities combining with the characteristics of Hulun Buir tourism text. The core of the theory is that different texts could be classified into informative, expressive and vocative texts from the perspec?tive of language functions. This paper believes that the purpose of translation is to better display Chinese culture so as to promote economic interaction and exchange.
