“三美”论视角下托马斯·纳什《春》的赏析及其两个中译本的对比研究

Appreciation on Thomas Nashe's Spring and a Comparative Study on the Two Chinese Versions from the Perspective of Three Beauties Principles

随着中外文化的交流和传播,英文诗歌也伴其优美的译文而受到了越来越多中国读者的喜爱。该文以许渊冲先生的"三美"论作为理论基础,选用托马斯·纳什的著名诗作《春》为语料,从音美、意美、形美的角度赏析原诗以及对比研究两个中译本。研究发现,相对于郭沫若的译文,李云启的译文更为成功,其成功之处在于遵循了"三美"的翻译原则,即遵循了押韵和节奏的"音美",遵循了意义、意象、意境的"意美",遵循了风格、诗行长短的"形美",非常巧妙地展示了原诗的风采。

With the Sino-foreign cultural exchanges,an increasing number of people love English poetry and its translated text.Based on the theory of the three beauties proposed by professor Xu Yuanchong,this thesis will appreciate Thomas Nashe s Spring and make a comparison between the two Chinese versions.This study concludes that Li Yunqi' s translation of Spring is better than Guo Moruo s,which is embodied in following the theory of the three beauties,namely,beauty in sound that reflects in rhythm and cadence,beauty in sense that reflects in meaning,image and mood,and beauty in form that reflects in style and the length of verse.Thus,Li Yunqi s version of Spring shows the beauty of the original poetry.
