摘要
基于语料库的语言学研究有着众多其他语言学研究无可比拟的优势,在数据和语境的支撑下,研究得出来的结论更加有说服力。该文通过自建近250万字的CNN政治新闻语料库和超过160万字的China Daily政治新闻语料库,挑选20个具有"说"的意思的动词,运用定量研究和定性研究的基本研究方法,从横向和纵向进行对比分析CNN和China Daily政治新闻语料库中同类动词"说"的使用特色。在具体的研究内容方面,笔者从"单词的时态、单词使用的频率、频率最大的单词和频率差异最大的单词"四个方面进行了分析。该文对研究同类新闻词汇特点作了新的有益尝试,结论也对学生提高新闻英语的写作能力有一定的帮助。
Supported by data and contexts,the linguistic research based on corpus has a lot of unparalleled advantages over other linguistic researches,and its conclusions are more convincing.By establishing the CNN political news corpus of near 2.5 million words and China Daily political news corpus of more than 1.6 million words,the author chose 20 words with the meaning of saying ',and applied both quantitative and qualitative analysis to conduct research on the distinguishing features of usages of ' verbs of saying horizontally and vertically.As for the specific research contents,the word tense,the occurrences,the word of the No.1occurrence,and the words with the biggest occurrence difference were studied.This paper is trying a new and meaningful research on the features of homogeneous news words,and its conclusions are beneficial to students improvement in news writing.
