英美文学教学中少数民族大学生人文素养的培养

Cultivation of Humanistic Quality of Minority College Students in British and American Literature Teaching

人文素养是大学生综合素质的重要组成部分,在大学生的成长过程有着不可替代的作用。少数民族大学生是少数民族地区的重要人才储备,只有具备了较高的人文素养,将来才能肩负起振兴民族地区经济社会发展的重任。《英美文学赏析》是一门以培养学生人文素养为目的的公共英语选修课,但在我国只有少数大学开设了这门课程。要培养少数民族大学生的人文素养,开设这样的文学赏析课,发挥英美文学的教育功能是十分必要的。

Humanistic quality is an important part of the comprehensive quality of college students and it plays an irreplaceablerole in the growth of college students. Minority college students is an important reserve of talents in ethnic minority regions. Onlywith higher cultural quality can they shoulder the responsibility to revitalize the economic and social development in ethnic minori-ty areas. 'British and American Literature' is an optional course of English to develop students' humanistic literacy. But in ourcountry, only a small number of universities offer this course. To develop the minority college students' humanistic quality, it isvery necessary to set up the literature appreciation class and then give play to the educational function of British and American lit-erature.
