摘要
In Into My Own and My Dream Pang written by Robert Frost,there are two sides in the subject that are at odds with each other:the one that wants to retreat from the worldly matters and the other that calls for others’communication with him.By adopting the psychoanalytic theory of Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan,this paper finds that the protagonist’s implicit need for the recognition from others plays a defining role in the construction of his new identity as a hermit.
