汉英中“前”“后”时空域参照框架分析

Analysis on Temporal and Spatial Frames of Reference of“Qian”and“Hou”(Front & Back)in Chinese and English

人类空间思维的认知和表征是人类身体经验和社会实践活动的必然产物,汉英中"前"和"后"以人体视线和行走方向为参照,既可以表达水平空间关系也可以表达时间关系。文章借助Levinson的参照框架理论,从内在参照框架和相对参照框架两方面对汉英中"前"和"后"在空间域和时间域的具体语例进行认知分析,揭示汉英时空认知的共性。

Cognition and representation of human beings' spatial thinking is the inevitable outcome of their body experience andsocial practical activities.'qian'and'hou'represents horizontal spatial relationship as well as temporal relationship with refer-ence to human beings' visual orientation and walking direction. Based on the reference framework theory proposed by Levinson,the paper attempts to analyze the specific usage of'qian'and'hou'in spatial and temporal fields from the perspective of intrinsicand relative frames of reference, revealing the universality of the temporal and spatial cognition in Chinese and English.
