浅析礼貌策略在汉语公示语中的应用

Of the Application of Politeness Strategies in Chinese Public Signs

公示语作为一种面向公众的以言行事行为,不可避免地会对人们的面子造成一定的威胁,所以有必要采取相应的礼貌策略来降低威胁的程度。鉴于以往的研究主要集中在汉语公示语的英译问题和语言特征方面,本文拟通过定性分析的方法,运用Brown和Levinson的礼貌策略对汉语公示语中的礼貌现象作具体阐释,以期更好地发挥汉语公示语的作用。

As an illocutionary act facing the public, public signs may inevitably threaten people's face to some extent. Therefore,it's necessary to adopt some corresponding politeness strategies to reduce the degree of threat. Given the fact that previous studiesmainly focus on the translation of Chinese public signs into English and their language features, this thesis attempts to expound po-liteness phenomena in Chinese public signs using Brown and Levinson's politeness strategies through qualitative analysis, hopingto exert better effects of Chinese public signs.
