委婉语(euphemism)不仅仅是一种间接的语言形式,同时又能从一定的程度上表现出来一些特定的文化现象与文化特征,在教学过程中重视这一方面的内容,有利于提高学生对英语文化的敏感性,有利于提高学生跨文化交际的技能,减少沟通中的阻碍,提高交际的成功率,所以作为英语教师,在日常的教学活动应该注意英语委婉语的具体应用细节。
