基于关联理论的方言特色词汇翻译——以陕北民歌翻译为例

The Translation of Culture- Loaded Dialect Words from the Perspective of the Relevance theory——A Case Study of Northern Shaanxi folk songs

从关联理论的相关概念出发,对陕北民歌中具有地方特色的方言词汇的翻译进行研究,通过人称、地名和特定动词这三个方面入手探讨了民歌翻译的策略。关联理论认为,要正确理解语言就要通过语境来寻找关联,因此要求译者在翻译时要准确理解方言特色词汇,以期达到原文与译文的最佳关联。

The translation of culture-loaded dialect words in Northern Shaanxi folk songs are studied from the viewpoint of Rele?vance theory. The translation strategies of folk songs are investigated through the perspective of personal pronoun, toponymy and specific verbs. The Relevance Theory considers that in order to understanding language correctly, it should search the relevance though the context. Therefore, precision in understanding is especially important in the translation of culture-loaded words, and it should be employed to help achieve the optimal relevance.
