《献给艾米丽的玫瑰》与《倾城之恋》,表面看来,二者并无关联。两段故事的女主角,南方没落贵族家中的小姐艾米丽和中国封建家庭中地位极低的寡妇白流苏,却有着惊人相似的女性悲剧命运。该文旨在通过两篇故事的对比,分析女性悲剧的成因。

Seen from the outside, A Rose for Emily and Love in a Fallen City have absolutely nothing to do with each other, while the heroines of these two short stories, Emily, a lady from a declining aristocratic family in the South, and Bai Liusu, a widow who occupied an extremely low position in a feudal family, shared a remarkably similar fate of female tragedy. This paper is for the pur?pose of analyzing the causes of female tragedy through the comparison between these two stories.
