理工科高职开设英语选修课的探讨——以湖南理工职业技术学院为例

On English Selective Course Launching in Vocational Colleges of Science and Technology——Take Hunan Vocational Institute of Technology for Example

随着高职院校不断深入开展英语教学改革,英语选修课逐渐受到了学校的认可和重视。该文以湖南理工职业技术学院为依托,从高职英语选修课现状入手,从建构主义学习理论和理工科高职学生英语学习现状两个层面分析了高职开设英语选修课的必要性,为英语选修课的开设提供理论和现实依据。最后,对目前理工科高职选修课的开设出现的问题从学校、教师以及学生三个方面进行探讨,希望对理工科高职院校选修课程体系的建构提供帮助。

With the reform of English teaching in vocational colleges,The English selective course has gained more and more atten-tion.Taking Hunan Vocational Institute of Technology for example,this paper analyzes the necessity of launching English selectivecourse from Constructive Learning Theory and present studying situation in vocational colleges of science and technology,whichprovides theoretical and practical support of launching English selective course.At last,in view of existing problems of English se-lective course,the paper gives some suggestions in three ways:college,teachers and students,aiming at providing help for the con-struction of English selective course.
