摘要
《小妇人》(Little Women)作为一部儿童小说,描述的是南北战争期间一个普通家庭的四个女儿的成长故事。该文选取了《小妇人》第一部中四个女孩乐此不疲的游戏——"天路历程",对其进行了深入的剖析,挖掘出了作者设置该游戏的真正意图:游戏作为一种教育方式,内容上传达了当时主流的清教思想;形式上突破了传统儿童小说中"说教"的教育方式,更加符合儿童天性,起到了寓教于乐的作用。该文共分为三部分,第一部分立足于文本,分析了游戏三次出现的不同形式和内涵,并总结出游戏在小说中的作用;第二部分则是通过游戏设置的作用,分析其体现的作者的独特的教育思想;第三部分从时代背景和作者的家庭背景分析作者独特教育思想的形成原因。
Categorized into children literature, Little Women is about the story of four daughters in an ordinary family during the civ?il war. This paper focuses on the“Pilgrim Progress”game in which four girls took delight. The intention of designing this game is to echo the time spirit, and to educate children in a more agreeable and effective way through playing games. The paper comprises three parts:firstly, the forms and essence of the three-time games will be presented;secondly, the author’s educational concept will be concluded;thirdly, the formation of the author’s educational concept will be shed light on.
