威廉·布莱克和屈原是英国和中国文学史上最伟大的浪漫主义诗人之一。布莱克的预言诗深奥难懂,屈原的诗谲绮深远,两位诗人在作品中创作了大量的神话意象。浪漫主义文学惯于借民族文化中的传统神话意象来寄托理想和情感,而神话意象则是作品艺术内涵的容器。因此,该文将对布莱克《四天神》和屈原《远游》中的神话意象进行比较研究,旨在丰富布莱克和屈原的研究视角,也希望在一定程度上为两位诗人的研究带来一些启示。

As one of the greatest romantic poets in English and Chinese literature, William Blake and Qu Yuan have created ob?scured poems with sizable mythical images. Romanticism finds sustenance of ideals and emotions by traditional mythical images from national culture;and mythical image is container of all the possibilities implicit in the totality. This paper will compare the mythical images in Blake’s Vala, or The Four Zoas and Qu Yuan’s Yuan You, aiming to offer a certain positive impact on the study of Blake and Qu Yuan.
