In the information era of the 21st century, with the development of China’s opening up, Chinese and foreign enterprises interact the mutual cultures and social values in the increasing international communication. It will be especially a potential barrier to the intercultural communication if the difference in the values is misunderstood. In order to further study the skill of the usage of English, this essay analyzes the characteristics and embodiments of western values represented by America in the way of thinking and verbal communication with a view to the mutual understanding in the values of China and America as well as the linguistic dif?ference.
