高校优秀英语教师素质研究

A Study on the Characteristics of Effective English Teachers

本研究通过随机抽取,对天津一所高校的150名大学生进行了问卷调查,旨在发现学生心目中高校优秀英语教师应该具备的特点。调查结果显示:1)高校优秀英语教师要具有很高的专业素养;2)高校优秀英语教师应拥有独特的个人魅力;3)高校优秀英语教师要有强烈的责任感;4)高校优秀英语教师应该和学生平等融洽的相处交流。该文对调查结果进行了进一步的探讨,以期为当前的大学英语教学改革和教师发展提供有意义的参考。

Adopting a questionnaire study with 150 undergraduates at random from one university in Tianjin, this study aims to ex?plore the characteristics of effective English teachers from the students ’perspective. The result of the study shows that:1) effective English teachers are characterized by strong professional ability;2) effective English teachers are characterized by personal charm;3) effective English teachers own strong sense of responsibility; 4) effective English teachers have an equal and harmonious rela?tionship with the students. This paper gives further discussion of the results in the hope of providing suggestions for the present col?lege English reform and the development of teachers.
