多模态话语分析视角下《英雄》电影字幕翻译研究

On Subtitle Translation of Hero from the Perspective of Multimodal Discourse Analysis

电影语篇是兼具声音、图像、文字等多种符号系统的多模态语篇。字幕翻译作为模态之一,与其他各模态构成互补关系,共同构建电影语篇的整体意义。目前,国内对于电影字幕翻译的研究还大多停留在文字层面,对电影语篇本身的多模态特点并未予以太多关注。本文运用国内多模态话语分析综合框架,从框架的四个层面即文化、语境、内容及表达层面对《英雄》的字幕翻译进行研究,探寻译者是如何综合考虑各模态之间的相互关系进行翻译的,以期为电影字幕工作者提供一些参考,更好地推广中国文化。

Film text is a multimodal one which includes sound, image and word etc. systems. As one modal in film text, subtitletranslation is in the complementary relationship with other modals to construct the whole meaning of the text. At present, the domes-tic studies on subtitle translation focus on the text level, without paying much attention to the multimodality of film text. With thehelp of integrated framework of domestic multimodal discourse analysis, this paper will study the subtitle translation of Hero fromthe levels of culture, context, content and expression to see how the translator do subtitle translation while taking the modality offilm text into consideration. It aims to provide some suggestions for the subtitle translators, so that they can disseminate Chineseculture better.
