茅盾文学作品英译研究综述

An Overview on Previous Studies on English Translations of Mao Tun's Literary Works

作为左翼文学的巨擘,茅盾对中国文学的发展影响深远。他一生勤奋笔耕,给世界留下了众多优秀的文学作品。早在上世纪三十年代初期,关于茅盾文学作品的英译活动就已开始。而对其英译进行研究的学者直到八十年代才出现。该文以中国知网为数据库,对现有的关于茅盾文学作品英译的研究成果进行梳理,并针对其不足为将来的学术研究活动提出自己的建议,旨在为该领域的深入研究奠定基础。

As a leader of leftist literature, Mao Tun exerted great influence on Chinese literature. He is such a prolific writer and created many excellent works. Literary works of Mao Tun have began to be translated into English since the early 1930s. However, Chinese scholars didn’t do research on it until the 1980s. According to CNKI, this study sorts out essays on English translations of Mao Tun’s literary works, pointing out their shortcomings and putting forward some suggestions for the future research in this field in an attempt to lay a foundation for it.
