权势距离理论新探索——以《甄嬛传》中甄嬛的话语为语料进行分析论证

Further Exploration of Power & Distance Theory——Zhen Huan's Discourse as the Corpora to Analyze and Prove the Theory

在面子理论中决定说话人采用何种策略的三个主要因素是权势、距离和要求度。面子威胁行为的轻重是说话者与听话者之间的社会距离、听话者与说话者之间权势差异以及要求度的结合。Scollon将权势、距离和要求度分别分成正和负。我们这里对权势距离理论进行新探索,将权势、距离和要求度分别分成正、零和负,再结合Watts的公式将《甄嬛传》中甄嬛的话语作为语料进行分析论证。结果表明新的划分方法很合理,在分析面子威胁行为的轻重时更为实用。

Power difference, social distance and the ranking of impositions are the three main factors deciding which politeness strategy to choose in the face-threatening act. The weightiness of a face-threatening act is a combination of the social distance be?tween speaker and hearer, the power differential between the hearer and speaker, and the ranking of impositions. Scollon divides power into plus power and minus power, the same with social distance and the ranking of imposition. In this thesis, power is divid?ed into plus power, zero power and minus power, so do social distance and the ranking of impositions. The analyze of Zhen Huan ’s discourse based on Watts' equation and the new theory proves that the new division is more proper and practical than the old ones in measuring the weightiness of face-threatening act.
