翻译模因论视角下谚语的英汉互译策略研究

模因是一种信息或文化单位,可以通过学习和模仿进行复制和传播。英汉谚语模因库中存在着很多各具特色的谚语模因,谚语翻译则可看作谚语模因跨语言文化的传播过程。翻译模因论为汉英谚语的互译提供了信息复制与传播的模式。该文试图从翻译模因论的角度出发来探讨谚语的英汉互译策略,以期能对谚语翻译有一定的指导意义。

Meme, acting as a unit of information and culture, can be replicated and transmitted through study and imitation. In bothChinese and English proverb meme pools, there are plenty of distinctive proverb memes. For the transmitting of proverb memes be-tween two different cultures and languages, translation plays a significant role. As an emerging theory, translation memetics pro-vides a pattern of replication and transmission of information and culture for the translation of Chinese and English proverbs. Thispaper tries to illustrate the strategies of the translation of Chinese and English proverbs from the perspective of translation memet-ics, in the hope of providing some instructions for proverb translation.
