ESP in Higher Vocational English Teaching

该文根据高职院校英语教学现状,在明确ESP概念并简述相关研究的基础上,探讨了ESP在高职英语教学中的必要性。文章结合英语教学的教学目标、课程开发、教材建设、教学方式等因素讨论了开展ESP教学的问题与对策,以期为高职院校英语教学实践提供一定参考。

Based on an analysis of the status que of English teaching in higher vocational colleges,this paper clarifies the defini-tions of ESP,reviews relevant studies,and explores the necessity and tendency of EAP orientation for higher vocational English teaching. It further probes into the possible issues and solutions in EAP teaching from the perspectives of programs ,teaching mate-rials with the purpose of providing some enlightenment for English teaching in higher vocational colleges.
