A Pragmatic Analysis of Premier Li Keqiang's Answers to Correspondents in NPC & CPPCC Session Press Conference

外交辞令因涉及国家间关系和国内外重大问题而十分讲究措辞和言语技巧。该文通过对李克强总理在2013-2015年答两会中外记者问中所使用的语言进行语用分析尝试指出格莱斯的合作原则和利奇的礼貌原则在外交语言中的具体体现及重要意义。在外交场合为了实现成功的交际通常需要遵守合作原则,但有时出于国家利益等考虑会通过违反合作原则传达隐含信息,使交际更加委婉而礼貌。

Diplomatic language attaches great importance to diction and speaking skills because it concerns major international is-sues and relations. This paper tries to illustrate the significance of Grice's Cooperative Principle and Leech's Polite Principle in diplomatic language through the analysis of Premier Li Keqiang's responses to questions from the press during 2013-2015 NPC&CPPCC sessions. In diplomatic occasions, Cooperation Principle is often observed to achieve successful communication. But under some circumstances, for safeguarding national interests and realizing diplomatic objectives, CP is violated to convey implicit con-versational implicature to make communication polite and tactful.
