An Analysis on Mr.Xu Yuanchong's Translation Literature

许渊冲的文学翻译理论课凝练为"美化之艺术,创优似竞赛"。他的这十字翻译理论吸收了文艺美学和传统译论的精华,将文学翻译提高到了翻译文学的高度,认为翻译是一种在译语语境的再创造文学,译文应与原文进行一场"竞赛"。虽然这种理论曾引发翻译界的争论,但他在翻译理论上的创新当对我国翻译事业的发展有所助益。

Mr. Xu Yuanchong’s literature translation theory can be condensed as“art of beautifulization and creation of the best in rivalry”. This theory absorbed the essence of literary aesthetics and traditional translatology improves literature translation to“translation literature”. A translation work should compete with its original work, and it is a kind of recreation art under the target language. Although the theory caused a long-term debate, its innovation on translation theory is beneficial to the development of translation in our country.
