电影《北京人在纽约》讲述了一批北京人在纽约为了生存而打拼的奋斗故事。该文从中西老板阿春和大卫两人厂内工人吃工作餐的不同方式来看中西文化的差异。中国人向来注重饮食,并有"民以食为天"的谚语。饮食也被中国人赋予很深的文化含义和社会内涵,而在西方,饮食往往被认为是一种生存手段。

The film A Native of Beijing in New York presents us a struggling story of a group of Beijing natives in New York. This thesis tries to look at the difference of China and Western countries by the different ways the employees to eat their working meals. Eating has an important role in China. The proverb“Food is the First Necessity of the People”can tell us how important eating is in China. It’s simply a way to survive for Westerners but for Chinese it has a profound cultural and social meaning.
