摘要 该文从委婉语的语用功能出发,探讨狭义委婉语和广义委婉语在大学英语课堂教学中的学习与应用。狭义委婉语主要作为教学内容,教师在课堂讲解,帮助学生习得狭义委婉语。广义委婉语则是作为教学手段,文章重点研究课堂问候语、结束语与课堂指令用语,旨在提高学生委婉语的语用能力与建立和谐的大学英语课堂。 The paper is intended to explore the study and application of euphemisms both in the narrow sense and broad sense in college English classroom teaching from the angle of pragmatic functions of euphemisms.Euphemisms in the narrow sense are mainly included as the teaching content to help students to learn with the explanation of the teacher while euphemisms in the broad sense are used as a teaching method.The focus of the paper is to explore the uses of classroom greetings,classroom closings and classroom instructions with the purpose of improving students pragmatic abilities of using euphemisms and building the harmonious college English classroom teaching.
