入门级英汉口译教材编写原则及思路

Principles and Thoughts on the Compilation of A Textbook of Interpreting Between Chinese and English for Beginners

大部分本科阶段英语专业学生在学习口译时遇到的最大问题并不能笼统地归结于无法满足"快、准、顺"这样的要求,而是表现出了非常具体的问题。目前的口译教材更适用于具有较高英语水平,以及较强双语转换能力的本科学生或经过了一段口译训练的研究生。该论文尝试提出入门级英汉口译教材的编写原则及思路,即以一定的口译理论为基础,按照学生学习英语口译的主要困难步步推进,引出适合于该层次学生的口译技巧,以及教学和练习的基本步骤,从而达到让学生能进行基础口译的目标。

It is always difficult for undergraduate English majors to convert a source language into a target language accurately and smoothly in real time in an interpreting task.However,in the process of learning interpreting,trainees may encounter more specific difficulties.The textbooks of interpreting between Chinese and English we have today,mainly addressing the general difficulty mentioned above,are more designed to train students with high proficiencies in English and Chinese languages and strong ability of translation between the two languages.Therefore,an elementary textbook of interpreting,focusing on address-ing the specific difficulties in interpreting for beginners at the initial stage,is needed.This paper is an attempt of exploring into the necessity and principles of the compilation of such a textbook.
